Our approach

You will see many established building firms boasting 100’s or even 1000’s of conversions, what you may not realise is that many of these can only achieve these numbers by operating a sub/contractor model, i.e. they take on your job and hand off to one of their many sub-contractor teams for a fee. Whilst this a commonly practised operating model, it does mean that you can never be sure what standard of work you will get from the team assigned to you. We at Space Max don’t overcommit ourselves and keep as much of our work in house with our stable team so we can maintain the high standard of work that we strive for. Sure we sub-contract various elements such as electrics (final sign off)/plumbing (boiler installation) or air conditioning, purely because these services are only required for short periods of time but even then we have select partners that we work with who we can rely on to maintain our high level of quality.

Design

Quite obvious really, but this is one of the most critical stages that impacts whether your project will be on time/budget. We work with some very talented partners, architects, joiners, who can help to achieve your perfect home, make the best use of available space to fit your budget. The details are crucial, we always try and help the client to think of as many of the details at an early stage otherwise making last minute amendments at the finishing stage can be costly and time consuming. Little things such as light switches/sockets, alarm systems/cctv, can be costly to add or re-position after the plaster/decorating stage.

Project Management

As mentioned we can take your project from its infancy and handle all of the planning applications, party wall agreements and building reg submissions. We will breakdown your work schedule by key milestones so you have transparency throughout the project and ensure building regs sign off occurs during each of these milestone.

Us & You

We know living during a large build can be stressful so we will always try and keep any disruption to the minimum as much as possible, whether its setting up a temporary kitchen or temporary partitions, we’ll try and help as much as we can. Although many of our projects are large Extensions/Lofts we are also more than happy to take on smaller projects like kitchen & bathroom work in the London and South East area, we try and be as flexible as possible. Much of our work still comes from recommendations so its always in our interest to always keep the client happy and exceed their expectations on each project.
